Juicy and intensely purple maqui berry blended with a hand-rolled dark green tea leaf. Produces a medium golden liquor, rich in antioxidants. Kai’s Maqui Berry was awarded the 2017 Global Tea Championship Silver Medal.

The Maqui berry (pronounced mah-key), is a vibrantly purple super-fruit growing prolifically in the wilds of South America. This berry, also known as Chilean Wineberry, contains the highest anti-oxidant value of any known berry.

Our berries are picked in the temperate rainforests of the Chiloé Island and sent to us by the Lewis family. Chiloé, the second largest island in the Chilean archipelago lies on the western border of the beautiful Pategonia region of South America.

Our hand rolled Ceylon green tea has a bright and fresh flavor, less grassy and vegetal than most green teas but packed with all of the same green tea goodness.

Antioxidant level: Ultra high

Caffeine meter: Medium-low

In my opinion, this tea is not as strong as your Hibiscus, which is fine since l prefer a more mild flavor.

This tea has a pleasant aroma and tastes even better. I have not tried Kai Teas before and this was a great introduction.

This is my first purchase from Kai. Shipping is fast & this tea is quite tasty. Don't let the color scare you! I'm not usually a fan of green teas, but this one doesn't have the typical "grassy" taste. It's sweet and fresh. I will be adding this to my rotation.
